At Yoga Om we pride ourselves on delivering professional and traditional AIKIDO classes to both children and adults in Dubai.

YogaOm has partnered with MBA Dynamic Martial Arts to promote various types of martial arts in Dubai.

WHAT IS AIKIDO

Aikido is a Japanese martial art developed by Morihei Ueshiba (often referred to by his title 'O-Sensei' or 'Great Teacher').

On a purely physical level it is an art involving some throws and joint locks that are derived from Jujitsu and some throws and other techniques derived from Judo, Kenjutsu, and Iaido.

Aikido focuses not on punching or kicking opponents, but rather on using their own energy to gain control of them or to throw them away from you.

It is not a static art, but places great emphasis on motion and the dynamics of movement.

Sensei Manny H. Moe, Ni-Dan / North Carolina, USA

Moe Sensei has over 50 years of experience in martial arts (over 26 years in Shotokan Karate, and over 24 years in Aikido), and has been trained in many different styles of Japanese martial arts. He has been trained by the late Fumio Toyoda Shihan in the traditional style of Aikido and was a Certified Instructor by American Aikido Association (Chicago, IL, USA). He acquired his ranks with the Hombu Dojo in Japan, and has many years of teaching experience with kids, teens, and adults.

Moe Sensei is a detailed-oriented instructor, who believes in maintaining the integrity of Aikido in every aspect of the art. He is also a very strong believer of treating any martial art as a way of life, and not simply a pastime. He sees Aikido as the Way of Peace and a process for training the mind, body, and spirit – not a sport.
